Tougaloo College hosts its 33rd Business Luncheon.

Tougaloo College held it’s 33rd annual Business Luncheon on February 25, one week after its original date which was pushed back because of the winter storm. The keynote speaker was John W. Thompson, Microsoft Board Chair, who delivered his address virtually while Tougaloo’s President, Dr. Carmen Walters, its Board of Trustees, faculty, and students listened on at the Jackson Hilton on County Line Rd. Among those honored at the luncheon were the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and Fredric L. Pryor (posthumously), who both won the Society of Corporate Philanthropists Award, and Leroy Walker, Jr., who won the Tougaloo College Chairman Award. The luncheon takes a look at the impact of Tougaloo College on the local, state, and national levels and highlights scholarships for deserving Tougaloo students. (Photos by Andre’ Johnson, II)
