OPINION: To save the African American soul

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12)”. 

Many contemporary theologians and scholars of the King James Version of the Holy Bible have reminded us of these religious beliefs. They reflect the long held Christian understanding of the metaphysics of the Christian faith.

Many American voters are presently swayed by the thoughts of an American president harboring white supremacist, white privileged, nihilist, and autocratic ideologies. Christians understand the “battle is not with physical enemies, but with unseen spiritual authorities and forces opposed to God’s kingdom”.

President Trump has exercised his ability to enrage his voters and followers to commit violence in defense of his personal beliefs. It is within the range of possibilities that Mr. Trump will eventually turn this kind of physical violence directly on African Americans, thereby further separating the cohesion of all Americans. 

It is time for all Americans to give more serious thought to the kind of war Mr. Trump is waging against American citizens – Christian Metaphysics versus Empirical Scientific Metaphysics – because it is the kind of war the Apostle Paul mentions in the King James Version of the Holy Bible. 

Mr. Trump is a principal in our society because of his wealth. He exercises power over us as president, and he exercises dark ruling powers. He uses fear and intimidation as tools to deal not only with the voting citizens, but also with the world. 

It is absolutely imperative the citizens of the United States of America send a clear message, through our votes, that we do not agree with this kind of leadership.
