Operation Shoestring to host annual Spring Fling event on Apr. 30

JANS – Operation Shoestring will host its annual Spring Fling event on April 30th at the Mississippi Museum of Art from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and feature live music by Maya Kyles.

Operation Shoestring invites its supporters, volunteers, and families to celebrate its work in the community and honor all the volunteers and community partners who help make it all possible! 

Robert Langford, Operation Shoestring executive director, says, “We’re deeply grateful for all our neighbors, volunteers, supporters, and partners who’ve worked with us this past year to help make a positive impact in the lives of the children and families we serve. We look forward to celebrating all of our shared successes at Spring Fling and sharing some news about our work going forward with our community.” There will be brief remarks at 6 p.m. honoring volunteers and partners Trustmark Bank, Jackson-area artist Victoria Meek, and the Association of Letter Carriers Branch 217. Operation Shoestring will also share news about its revised vision and mission and new strategic priorities.   

The admission-free event will feature complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.
