Mississippi Regional Housing Authority VI celebrates ribbon cutting and open house for Pattison Homes I & II

JANS – The Mississippi Regional Housing Authority, No. VI (MRHA VI) will have the official opening and ribbon cutting for Pattison Homes I & II, a 40-unit affordable housing development located at 1041 Pattison-Hermanville Rd., Pattison, Mississippi.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. This represents a concerted effort in revitalizing the housing stock within Claiborne County; a partnership with the Claiborne County Board of Supervisors and the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority, No. VI. The costs of rehabilitating Pattison Homes I & II were more than $4M, made possible by the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority, the Atlanta and Dallas Federal Home Loan Banks, the Enterprise Community Loan Fund Inc., and BankPlus. A significant improvement to the development was the installation of a Spray Field Wastewater Treatment plant, replacing the outdated lagoon waste-water treatment source.

Dr. Hickman M. Johnson, Executive Director, Mississippi Regional Housing Authority, No.VI, said, “This is a happy day – a success story and the fulfillment of a dream. We are grateful to the Board of Supervisors, who ignited the interest and those who committed themselves to the challenge. We would have failed were it not for the dedicated support of our partners: Enterprise Community Loan Fund Inc., BankPlus, the Federal Home Loan Banks of Atlanta and Dallas, and the Board of Commissioners.”

The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and open house. Persons interested in making application for housing can log onto the PHA’s website: www.mrha6.org. Dr. Johnson said, “Applications will be received until all units are filled. Unit sizes are: one, two, and three bedrooms. All units are subsidized and rents are income-determined.”
